These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ShiokFit mobile application (the "App") and this website, operated by ShiokFit Pte Ltd ("ShiokFit", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Singapore. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. What ShiokFit is — and is not
ShiokFit is a lifestyle and fitness tracking tool. It provides estimates of energy intake and expenditure for informational and motivational purposes only.
- ShiokFit is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice.
- Calorie and energy figures in the App are estimates and may differ from your actual physiology.
- Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any diet or exercise programme, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.
- Do not use the App in a way that harms your health. If tracking food or exercise negatively affects your wellbeing, stop using the App and seek professional support.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use ShiokFit. The App requires no sign-up or login. Information you provide (such as height, weight, and age) must be accurate for the App's calculations to be meaningful.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Trial: new users receive a 7-day trial with full functionality, including automatic health sync and workout import.
- Free tier: after the trial, the App remains usable with manual logging. Automatic sync and certain features require a subscription.
- ShiokFit Intentional: an auto-renewing subscription priced at S$12.98 per month or S$98 per year (prices may vary by region and are shown in your app store at purchase).
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their respective policies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to reverse-engineer it, scrape or extract its food database, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The ShiokFit food database is curated and proprietary; you may use it only within the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
5. Intellectual property
The App, website, ShiokFit name, design, and all associated content are the property of ShiokFit Pte Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights other than the limited right to use the App as intended.
6. Health data and privacy
Use of your data, including data read from Apple Health and Health Connect with your permission, is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShiokFit Pte Ltd disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the App, including reliance on its estimates. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time; because your data is stored only on your device, deleting the App erases it. We may suspend or restrict access for use that violates these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
